*** 1st year in Porto, Portugal: to pass courses
*** 2nd and 3rd years, in Vaasa, Finland: to work on research and publication
*** 4th year, in Porto, Portugal: to write and prepare the thesis and PhD defence
*** In year 3 or 4, he/she can spend 6-months at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) as a visiting student, fully paid by FCT
